About

Paisley French, originally from Southern Ohio, is now located in Columbus Ohio, studying dance at The Ohio State University. Having danced since the age of two, Paisley quickly realized that dance was her passion and wanted to pursue a long journey and career in dance. Paisley began her dance training as a competitive dancer at Tammy Jo’s studio and finished her studio dance training at The Studio of Dance Kentucky, in Flatwoods, Kentucky. She has trained with the Cincinatti Ballet, BalletMet, American Ballet Theatre, and Cary Ballet Conservatory. Throughout her dance career, Paisley has taken part in several dance productions and won several regional and national awards. Some of her accomplishments include Elite Senior Dancer of the Year (2023), Miss Dance America (2022), and Teen Dancer of the Year (2019) at KAR and Rainbow National Finals. Paisley is also the two-time winner of the “Future Star” award (2019, 2022).

Paisley has had several lead roles in performances of “The Nutcracker,” including the roles of Clara, the Snow Queen, and the Sugar Plum Fairy. Paisley is also a part of the theatre community, having been a part of several musicals throughout her high school years. She has had lead roles in productions of The King and I, High School Musical, and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Paisley has also expressed her choreographic works in all three of these productions as well as a production of Junie B. Jones Jr.

Paisley currently holds the title of Miss Ohio’s Teen where she travels the state of Ohio advocating for her Community Service Initiative, “Dancing for Hope,” bringing awareness to the struggles of dancers and their families affected by cancer. Through her time at Ohio State, Paisley hopes to hone her technical skills in all styles of dance, build relationships and connections with faculty and students, and experience various aspects of the arts. Paisley hopes to focus her studies in lyrical/contemporary dance, as well as Broadway/precision style jazz. Dance is Paisley’s passion, and she is eager to work towards a career in the industry, all while showing others the joy found in the performing arts.
